Discover 10:10 Seminar
Creating Opportunities for Young People to Live Life Well
about the seminar
In this seminar we will explore how positive emotion and well-being exercises can be more effective when connected with building character and virtues. We will look at some of the key evidence-based ideas that form the basis of the 10:10 resource, designed to help young people live life well. As well as the best approaches that we can take to help them develop these ideas.
The seminar can be tailored for numerous settings (including online). Ideally, we need about one hour but it can be condensed to a 40 minute session or be extended to form part of a whole morning / afternoon or evening experience, where each of the themes are explored more fully.
Childhood should be the happiest time in a person’s life, yet for thousands of young people, the reality can be very different with children and teenagers in the UK often scoring poorly in international league tables on happiness.
Some of the needs of young people struggling with their well-being will be met through charities and organisations that provide counselling and support services. However, there is much more that can be done to help promote and establish well-being in young people. Young people should be given the opportunity to explore, learn and experiment how to bring about their own flourishing.
